Steps

  1. 1Choose a stable, level spot near shrubs or a fence.
  2. 2Turn the terracotta pot upside down to serve as the pedestal.
  3. 3Apply exterior construction adhesive to the rim of the pot.
  4. 4Center the saucer on top and press down firmly.
  5. 5Let the adhesive cure according to the label before adding water.
  6. 6Place a flat stone in the center so birds have a perch and insects can escape.
  7. 7Fill with 1–2 inches of fresh water.
  8. 8Clean and refill every few days.
