Tools needed

  • Β·Trowel
  • Β·Watering can with a narrow spout

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Β·Planting all the same flower β€” mix heights and bloom times
  • Β·Overwatering β€” vertical towers drain fast but need frequent small drinks
  • Β·No liner β€” soil washes out of pockets
  • Β·Top-heavy plants that flop over the sides

Maintenance tips

Deadhead spent blooms to keep flowers coming. Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2 weeks. Rotate the tower every few weeks for even sun.
