Center it in a bed or large container. Push legs 8–10 inches into the ground for stability.

Steps

  1. 1Cut four legs to 7 feet.
  2. 2Lay two legs on the ground with tops touching and bottoms 18 inches apart.
  3. 3Screw cross rungs between the legs, spacing them 12 inches apart.
  4. 4Repeat to build a second identical side.
  5. 5Stand the two sides up and screw them together at the top.
  6. 6Add a final cap or finial if desired.
  7. 7Set the obelisk in the bed and push the legs into the soil.

Maintenance tips
