Placement

Face the trellis east-west if possible so both sides get sun. Anchor posts 2 feet deep.

Steps

  1. 1Set posts 8 feet apart and 2 feet deep.
  2. 2Attach the cattle panel to the posts with zip ties or U-bolts.
  3. 3Plant cucumbers or melons at the base of the panel.
  4. 4Guide vines up the mesh as they grow.
  5. 5Tie slings under developing fruit for support.
  6. 6Harvest when fruit slips easily from the vine.
