Near the shed or compost area where you use the wheelbarrow most. Slope it slightly for drainage.

Steps

  1. 1Mark out a 4Γ—6 foot rectangle.
  2. 2Excavate 4–6 inches of soil.
  3. 3Lay landscape fabric if desired.
  4. 4Spread and compact 3–4 inches of gravel.
  5. 5Add a 1-inch sand bedding layer and level it.
  6. 6Place pavers starting from one corner, checking level as you go.
  7. 7Tap each paver into place with a rubber mallet.
  8. 8Install edging to lock the pavers in.
  9. 9Sweep sand into the joints and mist lightly.
