How to plant
Broadcast onto raked soil and press or rake in lightly. White clover spreads by stolons, forming a low mat. Inoculate with clover Rhizobium for best nitrogen fixation.
Grower's tip
The classic lawn clover and living mulch. Tolerates mowing and foot traffic. Flowers feed bees; leaves are edible in small amounts.
Soil preferences
Well-drained loam. Beans and peas fix their own nitrogen — don't over-fertilize.

Pick snap types young and often when pods snap crisply. For shell beans, let pods dry to brown on the plant.

Fresh: refrigerate 3–5 days. Freeze blanched. Dry-shelled: store in sealed jars after freezing 3 days to kill weevil eggs.
